HL Deb 08 December 1960 vol 227 c181

Order of the Day for the Third Reading read.

THE MINISTER WITHOUT PORTFOLIO (THE EARL OF DUNDEE)

My Lords, on behalf of my noble friend Lord Craigton, I beg to move that this Bill be now read a third time.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 3a—(The Earl of Dundee.)

VISCOUNT ALEXANDER OF HILLSBOROUGH

My Lords, I cannot let go by the occasion of the Third Readings of these three Scottish Confirmation measures, moved by the noble Earl on behalf of his colleague the Minister of State for Scotland, without saying that we hear with great regret the reason which prevents the noble Lord, Lord Craigton. from being here. We know he has been ill as a consequence of his experience, and we hope very much that he is making progress and will soon be with us again.

On Question, Bill read 3a, and passed.
