LORD FORBES

My Lords, with your Lordships' permission, I should like to take Amendments Nos. 11 to 15 together. These Amendments relate to notification by the Commission in respect of entry on to land when following marauding deer. Formerly, the Commission were required to give occupiers of the land at least 24 hours' notice of entry. Amendment No. 11 substitutes a warning to any person 'likely in the Commission's opinion to be on the land. This allows the Commission to make a common-sense decision as to who should and who should not be warned. The remaining Amendments are drafting and purely consequential. I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.—(Lord Forbes.)

LORD STRATHEDEN AND CAMPBELL

My Lords, this clause has been thoroughly discussed in this House and in another place. It has been amended and re-amended, and I should just like to state that I think its final form is an extremely satisfactory one.

On Question, Motion agreed to.
