HL Deb 08 July 1959 vol 217 c924

6.15 p.m.

Order of the Day read for the consideration of the Commons Amendments.

THE MINISTER OF POWER (LORD MILLS)

My Lords, in moving that these Amendments be now considered I feel I must apologise to your Lordships for the short notice you have had to examine them. I am afraid that this was due to circumstances beyond my control, and I hope than none of your Lordships has been inconvenienced. I would only say in mitigation that almost all the Amendments are designed to meet points raised during the passage of the Bill in your Lordships' House and another place. I beg to move that the Commons Amendments be now considered.

Moved, That the Commons Amendments be now considered.—(Lord Mills.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
