My Lords, I understand that the Report of the Bowes Committee of Inquiry into Inland Waterways is now being drafted. As the evidence has been voluminous and drawn from a wide field of interests it will be some weeks before the Report is complete. I can assure the noble Earl, Lord Lucan, that the Committee are well aware of the interest in this question and are doing all they can to complete their Report as soon as possible.
