HL Deb 15 March 1956 vol 196 c448

Order of the Day for the Second Reading read.

LORD AMULREE

My Lords, this is a similar Bill to the first one of which I have moved the Second Reading and, like the first, it has already passed through another place without opposition. The purpose of the Bill is to appoint a new board of trustees for these Charities in Warwickshire. It is felt that the new trustees, being local people, will take more interest than a widely scattered body of trustees, and the amalgamation of the charities will make for the better use of the money. I beg to move that the Bill be now read a second time.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 2a.— (Lord Amulree.)

On Question, Bill read 2a; and committed to a Committee of the Whole House.
