HL Deb 11 July 1956 vol 198 c941
THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR COMMONWEALTH RELATIONS (THE EARL OF HOME)

My Lords, I suggest that it might be convenient for your Lordships to adjourn now until 8.45; I believe that that was the general arrangement made. It might also be convenient if I told your Lordships that it has been arranged, through the usual channels, that the House will not sit on Monday, but that the Road Traffic Bill. Report stage will be taken on Tuesday and again on Thursday, if it is necessary to conclude it then. That seemed to suit everybody on both sides of the House.

[The Sitting was suspended at twenty-five minutes before eight o'clock and resumed at a quarter to nine.]
