THE EARL OF SCARBROUGHMy Lords, I have the honour to present to your Lordships two Messages from Her Majesty the Queen, signed with her own hand. The first is in these terms:
"I have received your Addresses praying that the Supplies and Services (Transitional Powers) Act, 1945, and the various Defence Regulations and Enactments which you specify be continued in force respectively for a further period of one year until the tenth day of December, 1953.
"I will give directions accordingly."
The other Message is as follows:
"I have received your Addresses praying that the Patents (Extension of Period of Emergency) Order, 1952, and the Registered Designs (Extension of Period of Emergency) Order,1952, be made in the form of the respective drafts laid before Parliament.
"I will comply with your request."
