THE MARQUESS OF ABERDEEN AND TEMAIRMy Lords, may I have the privilege of asking a supplementary question to the Question standing in my name on the Order Paper, which was answered in my absence?
§ LORD MORRISONMy Lords, I am doubtful whether it is in accordance with the Rules of the House for me to repeat an answer that I have already given in reply to the noble Lord, Lord Carrington. But if I may be allowed to summarise my reply, it was to the effect that my right honourable friend the Secretary of 1213 State for Scotland had carefully considered the question and has come to the decision that, in view of the opposition of the Aberdeen County Council, he should not allow the race meeting arranged to take place on Sunday, August 19.
