LORD MANCROFT

My Lords, on behalf of my noble friend Lord Elibank I beg to ask the Question which stands in his name on the Order Paper:

[The Question was as follows:

To ask His Majesty's Government whether they will lay in the Library of the House copies of the recent published correspondence between His Majesty's Government and the Malayan Federation and Singapore Governments regarding the proposed Malaya War Damage Compensation Scheme.]

THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR COLONIAL AFFAIRS (THE EARL OF LISTOWEL)

My Lords, typewritten copies of the despatch from the Malayan Governments and of my right honourable friend's reply have been placed in the Library of the House. Printed copies will be provided as soon as possible.

LORD MANCROFT

I am much obliged to the noble Earl.
