Clause 33, page 34, line 43, at end insert ("or be a contributory employee under the Local Government Superannuation Act, 1937, as applied by any local Act or other instrument; and, where a stipendiary magistrate holding office at the coming into force of this section gives notice of his desire that subsection (1) thereof should apply to him, any contributions previously paid by him as stipendiary magistrate under the said Act of 1937 as so applied shall be returned to him.")

My Lords, this Amendment makes provision for the return of contributions to a stipendiary who is at present within a contributory superannuation scheme. I beg to move that this House do agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.
