("Provided that nothing in this or the last foregoing section shall be construed as precluding a local authority from joining another local authority in establishing remand homes in accordance with the provisions of subsection (1) of section eighty-one of the Children and Young Persons (Scotland) Act, 1937, and

subsections (2) and (3) of the last foregoing section shall not apply to any arrangement so made.")
§ LORD MORRISONMy Lords, the purpose of this Amendment is to cover the special conditions which exist in Scotland and to enable local authorities there to provide remand homes. I beg to move that this House do agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.
