HL Deb 10 June 1948 vol 156 c631

THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (VISCOUNT ADDISON)

My Lords, before we start on the business on the Order Paper, I ought to tell your Lordships that it will not be necessary for the House to meet for public business on Monday next, June 14, as originally arranged. After conversations with the noble Marquess, Lord Salisbury, we have agreed to give a little further time for the consideration of certain points which he and his friends have in mind on the British Nationality Bill. We have therefore arranged to postpone the Committee stage of that Bill for a week—that is, until Monday, June 21. I hope this arrangement will be agreeable to your Lordships.
