Clause 33, page 40, line 8, leave out from "made" to "nineteen" in line 10 and insert "on or before the thirteenth day of February."

The Commons disagreed to the above Amendment for the following Reason—

Because the Amendment is unnecessary and would in some cases be unduly restrictive.

My Lords, this is an Amendment which I accepted at the request of your Lordships, thinking that it would afford the protection your Lordships desired. Subsequent inquiries revealed that the words your Lordships moved in are not sufficient to afford that protection. Consequently, I think we shall all agree that we ought not to insist on the Amendment which we inserted in this House. I beg to move that this House do not insist on the said Amendment.
