HL Deb 16 July 1947 vol 150 c799
THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF DROGHEDA)

My Lords, in moving that Standing Order No. 147 be dispensed with in respect of this Bill, I should perhaps explain that this is in order that the Bill shall not have to be deposited for three clear days in various public offices after it has been amended in unopposed Committee, and the result will be that it will be able to be taken in another place during the present Session, which otherwise it would not. I beg to move.

Moved, That Standing Order 147 be considered in order to its being dispensed with in respect of the said Bill, and that the Bill be now read 3ª.

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly: Bill read 3ª and passed and sent to the Commons.
