My Lords, I beg to ask the question standing in my name.

[The question was as follows:

To ask His Majesty's Government whether the licence to despatch newspapers, magazines and other periodicals to persons in the British Zone of Control in Germany granted under S.R. & O. 1946 No. 2044 will be extended to other Zones of Control.]

My Lords, the American, French and Russian authori ties have been asked to admit to their Zones newspapers and periodicals from individuals from the United Kingdom, and the matter is now being considered by those authorities.
