My Lords, I beg to ask the question standing in my name.

[The question was as follows:

To ask His Majesty's Government whether four Poles who were stowaways from the "Empire Arquebus" from Danzig and landed at Leith, have been asked to give an explanation as to the cause of their flight, and whether the Polish Government has been asked for a memorandum on any action taken by them since the repatriation of the said stowaways.]

My Lords, no explanation has been asked for and no approach has been made to the Polish authorities in this matter as it is the concern of the Polish Government alone.
