HL Deb 31 January 1946 vol 139 c123

Page 2, line 3, leave out ("they vary or reverse") and insert ("it varies or reverses")

LORD PETHICK-LAWRENCE

My Lords, the second Amendment is a purely grammatical one: to insert the words "it varies or reverses" instead of the words "they vary or reverse". In the interests of grammar I commend this to the House, and move that we agree with the Commons in this Amendment.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Lord Pethick-Lawrence).

On Question, Motion agreed to.
