HL Deb 08 June 1945 vol 136 c516

Clause 5, page 6, line 2, after ("any") insert ("civil").

LORD ALNESS

My Lords, there are two Amendments and, with the permission of your Lordships, I shall say just a word or two about those two Amendments, which relate to the same clause and the same matter. The first Amendment is in Clause 5, page 6, line 2— after "any," to insert "civil." The purpose of that Amendment is to place it beyond doubt that the proceedings which may be prohibited under a protection order do not include criminal proceedings. I beg to move that your Lordships agree to this Amendment.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Lord Alness.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
