§ THE LORD CHANCELLORMy Lords, I have to inform your Lordships that there has been addressed to this House, as well as to the House of Commons, a message from the Chamber of Deputies of the United States of Venezuela, conveying cordial greetings, in token of the spirit of solidarity of the representatives of the Venezuelan people with the principles for the defence of which the United Nations are fighting. 273 Your Lordships will perhaps authorize me in the name of your Lordships' House to transmit a suitable reply expressing our satisfaction at the receipt of this cordial message and reciprocating the sentiments which it expresses.
