HL Deb 08 December 1942 vol 125 c474
THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (VISCOUNT CRANBOKNE) (Lord Cecil)

My Lords, before the House adjourns I should like to make an intimation to noble Lords. I have been asked by the Leader of the Labour Party whether on the first sitting day of the next series I should be prepared to make a statement on developments in North Africa, including the position of Admiral Darlan, similar to that which is being made in another place in Secret Session on the third sitting day of the present series. I shall be very ready to do this in answer to a private notice question. The House may be assured that such a statement will not appreciably delay the business on the Paper as there will be no debate on it. It will be taken at the beginning of business, and in Secret Session.

House adjourned.
