HL Deb 21 January 1941 vol 118 c205
LORD SNELL

My Lords, in moving that the House do now adjourn, I think that it may be of some use to your Lordships if I inform you that owing to illness the noble Earl, Lord Listowel, has been obliged to postpone his Motion on coal distribution. In consequence, the business which is down for the third sitting day has been postponed, and the third sitting, this week, unless new business is put down, will not therefore take place.

LORD STRABOLGI

I should like to ask my noble friend whether it is intended—we do not press for this—that any statement should be made on the war situation in the near future.

LORD SNELL

My Lords, I have no information at the present time to communicate to your Lordships on that point.
