HL Deb 26 May 1938 vol 109 c601

In the Schedule, page 10, line 4, at end insert: ("Eight A.—In paragraphs (a) and (b) the word 'foregoing' shall be omitted.")

LORD TEMPLEMORE

My Lords, the object of this Amendment is to provide for an extension of time for accepting a complete specification where an appeal is lodged upon a matter arising out of Section 91 in accordance with Clause 7 of the Bill. The provisions for such an extension of time in Section 8A of the Act are at present limited to appeals under any of the "foregoing" provisions of the Act, and it is thought that the proper course is to omit the word "foregoing" so as to include all appeals under the Act before acceptance of the complete specification. I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Lord Templemore.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
