§ LORD SNELLMy Lords, I beg to ask the noble Earl, the Leader of the House, if he has any statement to make about future business.
§ THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION (EARL STANHOPE)My 956 Lords, I am much obliged to the noble Lord. I suggest that this House should meet tomorrow at the usual time of a quarter to four, and that we should meet at the same time, 3.45 p.m., on Thursday. As your Lordships know, there is a meeting of the House of Lords Offices Committee at three o'clock, and therefore it is impossible to meet at that hour. I understand that the Committee will get through its business by about half past three, or thereabouts, and I suggest that the House should therefore meet at a quarter to four. I might perhaps also give notice that I propose to put down a Motion to-morrow giving precedence to Government business on and after Thursday next, which I think is the usual course taken at this time of the Session, before we disperse for the holidays.
