HL Deb 01 June 1937 vol 105 c329

Order of the Day for the Second Reading read.

THE EARL OF LUCAN

My Lords, this is another Bill brought forward under similar conditions. It was part of a scheme drawn up by the Charity Commissioners to simplify the administration by placing the management in the hands of a single body, and to extend the beneficiary class so as to suit altered circumstances.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 2a.—(The Earl of Lucan.)

On Question, Bill read 2a, and committed to a Committee of the Whole House.
