HL Deb 19 July 1937 vol 106 c559

Clause 3, Page 4, line 14, after ("the") insert ("Department and to the").

LORD STRATHCONA AND MOUNT ROYAL

My Lords, this clause deals with the procedure to be adopted by the district committees when they have made a decision affecting a minimum rate. At that point the next step lies with the Wages Board. The Amendment lays it on the committee to notify the Department as well as the Board. There is some convenience in the Department being immediately aware of the committee's decision, and the Amendment was therefore accepted in another place.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Lord Strathcona and Mount Royal.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
