HL Deb 13 July 1937 vol 106 c361

Order of the Day for the consideration of Commons Amendments read.

LORD TEMPLEMORE

My Lords, I beg to move that the Commons Amendments be now considered. I would point out that these Amendments, although many in number, are mostly of a drafting or clarifying character. Partly they have been put forward or accepted by the Government in order to meet certain objections or anxieties expressed with regard to the possible effects of certain provisions of the Bill. I would propose with your Lordships' permission to group together as far as possible the Amendments on each clause, explaining as shortly as possible those which are of a more important nature.

Moved, That the Commons Amendments be now considered.—(Lord Templemore.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
