Order of the Day for the consideration of Commons Message of Wednesday last read.

THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (VISCOUNT HALIFAX)

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion which stands in my name, which is a repetition of a Resolution that was moved in similar terms by the noble Viscount on the Woolsack last Session.

Moved, That this House do concur in the Resolution communicated by the Commons, namely: That it is expedient that a Joint Committee of Lords and Commons be appointed to consider and report on measures for the better conservation and organisation of water resources and supplies in England and Wales.—(Viscount Halifax.)

Ordered, That a Message be sent to the Commons to acquaint them therewith.
