THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF ONSLOW)

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion which stands in my name.

Moved, That a Committee of three Lords be appointed to join with a Committee of the House of Commons to consider the provisions of Sections 62 and 64 of the Romford Urban District Council Act, 1931, with respect to contributions by frontagers to the expenses of the construction of public sewers and to make recommendations as to the circumstances in which and the conditions upon which similar provisions should be allowed in future Bills; that the Lords following, with the Chairman of Committees, be named of the Committee:

that leave be given to the Committee to hear parties interested by themselves, their Counsel, or Agents, so far as the Committee think fit; that such Committee have power to agree with the Committee of the House of Commons in the appointment of a Chairman.—(The Earl of Onslow.)

Ordered, That a Message be sent to the Commons to acquaint them therewith, to request them to appoint three members to be joined with the said Committee, and to propose that the Joint Committee do meet in the Chairman of Committees' Committee Room, House of Lords, on Wednesday, the 13th of May, at half-past ten o'clock.
