THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (VISCOUNT HAILSHAM)

My Lords, I also at this late hour will not take up time in explaining my Motion. The matter has been before the House of Lords Offices Committee, and I have put this Motion down at the instance of my right honourable friend the First Commissioner of Works. The concurrence of the Lord Great Chamberlain to the proposal has already been obtained.

Moved to resolve. That it is expedient that a Joint Committee of both Houses of Parliament be appointed to consider and report upon the accommodation for refreshment rooms and lavatories in the Palace of Westminster.—(Viscount Hailsham.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Ordered, That a Message be sent to the Commons to communicate this Resolution, and to desire their concurrence.

House adjourned at half-past seven o'clock.
