HL Deb 17 July 1934 vol 93 c688
VISCOUNT HAILSHAM

My Lords, I would like to mention that I have ascertained that quite a considerable number of your Lordships desire to debate the Housing Motion to-morrow. I have therefore communicated with the noble Lord, Lord Ponsonby, and with other noble Lords, and I do not propose to put down the Committee stage of the Road Traffic Bill again until Thursday. I am satisfied that it would be quite useless to do so. I think that I shall have to ask your Lordships to be good enough to meet at three o'clock on Thursday. I have ascertained from the judicial authorities that that is quite convenient for their labours.

House adjourned at eight o'clock.
