HL Deb 16 November 1933 vol 89 c426

Order of the Day read for the consideration of Commons Amendments.

EARL STANHOPE

My Lords, I beg to move that the Commons Amendments to this Bill be now considered.

Moved accordingly, and, on Question, Motion agreed to.

EARL STANHOPE

My Lords, in another place two Amendments were made in this Bill and I think your Lordships will agree to both of them. One is a very small one to put right a misprint, and the other is to postpone the date when the Order shall come into effect. The reason for that is that it was hoped that the Bill would pass through another place before the Recess. That was found impossible and so instead of coming into operation on October 1 last, as was intended, it will now come into operation on April 1 next year. I beg to move, That this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendments.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.—(Earl Stanhope.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
