Clause 4:

Power of inspection.

4. While an order under Section one of this Act is in force, any officer of, or person duly authorised by, the appropriate department shall at all reasonable times be permitted to enter and inspect any land occupied by a person holding a licence under this Act and any other land upon which he has reason to believe that musk rats are being kept or may be found.

THE PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY OF THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FISHERIES (EARL DE LA WARR), on behalf of Lord Banbury of Southam, moved, after "permitted," to insert "on production of his authority, if so desired." The noble Earl said: My Lords, on behalf of the noble Lord, Lord Banbury, I beg to move the Amendment of which he has given Notice, with the addition of the words "if so desired" He has agreed to that addition.
