HL Deb 09 July 1931 vol 81 c768

Read 3a (according to Order).

Clause 4 [Protection of grade designation marks]:

VISCOUNT BERTIE OF THAME

I have put down an Amendment limiting the fine. I understood there was no precedent for such a thing as an unlimited fine, but I find to my horror that in the principal Act the fine is also without, limit. A thing which I like very much is uniformity, so for the sake of uniformity I will not move my amendment.

Bill passed, and sent to the Commons.
