HL Deb 29 May 1930 vol 77 c1187

Page 6, line 3, leave out from ("shall") to ("before") in line 4.

Page 6, line 3, line 5, at end insert ("be sent, in the case of a patient in an institution which has a visiting committee, by the clerk of the institution to the Board of Control and to the clerk of the visiting committee, and, in any other case, by the person in charge to the Board of Control and to the clerk to the visitors of licensed houses for the district in which the patient was immediately before the death or departure.")

EARL RUSSELL

My Lords, these Amendments are designed to cover an administrative point. It is desirable that the visitors should also be notified of the death or departure of a patient because it might avoid an unnecessary visit. I beg to move that these Amendments be agreed to.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.—(Earl Russell.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
