My Lords, before we pass completely away from this Bill, may I ask whether the noble Earl in charge of it can tell us what will be the appointed day for bringing the Bill into force?

My Lords, that has not yet been finally decided. The Minister of Transport is answering a Question in another place on Wednesday, and will give the date of the appointed day then.

A Committee appointed to prepare Reasons to be offered to the Commons for disagreeing to certain of the Commons Amendments: Committee to meet forthwith.

Report from the Committee of the Reasons to be offered to the Commons, read and agreed to; and a Message ordered to be sent to the Commons returning the Bill with the Reasons.
