HL Deb 25 July 1930 vol 78 c883

Clause 79, page 61, line 13, after ("may") insert ("by notice in writing to the Commissioners require them to reconsider the matter, and shall on the reconsideration be entitled to be heard either personally or by his representative. Any person who is so aggrieved as aforesaid or who is dissatisfied with the decision of the Commissioners on the reconsideration of the matter may")

EARL RUSSELL

My Lords, the effect of these words is that a person who has already a right of appeal to petty sessions is given the opportunity of asking the Commissioners for a re-hearing and of attending it either personally or by his representatives. I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Earl Russell.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
