HL Deb 08 December 1926 vol 65 c1360
THE EARL OF BALFOUR

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion which stands in my name, That the Regulations made by His Majesty in Council under the Emergency Powers Act, 1920, by Order dated the 2nd inst., shall continue in force subject, however, to the provisions of Section 2 (4) of the said Act. If the Motion requires debate and explanation I think we had better defer that until we have dined, but if nobody desires to discuss the Motion I think we may pass it and then separate until half-past nine.

Moved, That the Regulations made by His Majesty in Council under the Emergency Powers Act, 1920, by Order dated the 2nd instant, shall continue in force, subject, however, to the provisions of Section 2 (4) of the said Act.—(The Earl of Balfour.)

[The sitting was suspended at eight o'clock and resumed at half-past nine o'clock.]
