HL Deb 03 August 1926 vol 65 c473

Schedule, page 16, line 11, leave out from first ("persons") to end of line 12.

VISCOUNT GAGE

My Lords, this small Amendment is similar to one approved with reference to the Ministry of Health Provisional Orders Confirmation (No. 6) Bill, and introduced in Committee in another place. It is thought to be an undesirable principle that a corporation should be able to defray expenses arising out of meetings of societies and conferences and the Ministry of Health has no objection to the deletion of the part of the clause concerned. Therefore I move that the Commons Amendment be agreed to.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Viscount Gage.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
