HL Deb 26 March 1924 vol 56 c1093

Order of the Day read for the consideration of the Message from the Commons.

LORD MUIR MACKENZIE

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion standing in my name. The list of Lords on the Paper is practically the same as the list of Lords who were named of the Committee last Session. The only changes are that Earl Buxton takes the place of Earl Beauchamp and that a member representing the Government is added to the Committee.

Moved, That a Committee of nine Lords be appointed to join with the Committee of the Commons, and that the Lords following be named of the Committee—

—(Lord Muir Mackenzie.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Ordered, That such Committee have power to agree with the Committee of the House of Commons in the appointment of a Chairman.

Then a Message was ordered to be sent to the Commons to inform them of the appointment of the said Committee by this House.
