My Lords, I ask leave to introduce the Government of India Bill, which is a Bill to make provision with respect to leave of absence from India of the Governor-General, Commander-in-Chief, Governors, and members of Executive Councils, and with respect to the appointment of Commander-in-Chief; and to move that it be read a first time.
