HL Deb 01 August 1922 vol 51 c1010

Clause 5, page 4, line 33, leave out "accordance with regulations made" and insert "such manner as may be determined."

Clause 7, page 6, line 32, leave out "extend" and insert "have extended."

VISCOUNT PEEL

I ought to mention that, besides the Amendments printed on the Paper, there are two Amendments made by the Commons which do not appeal on the Printed Paper, as they are Amendments to parts of the Bill passed by the Lords which were privileged, and were re-inserted in the Commons. In order to right the matter I will formally move that the privilege Amendments be agreed to as reinserted by the Commons.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.—(Viscount Peel.)

THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURY

Does what the noble Viscount said just now apply to the privilege Amendments?

VISCOUNT PEEL

Yes, they are just drafting Amendments.

On Question, Motion agreed to.
