HL Deb 17 July 1919 vol 35 c796

Order of the Day for the Second Reading read.

THE EARL OF JERSEY

My Lords, in asking your Lordships to give a Second Reading to this Bill I think I need only say that it in no way deals with the whole question of the Police; it is a Bill which affects the Police Force of the City of London, and its provisions are, I think, sufficiently explicit as set out in the Bill.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 2a.—(The Earl of Jersey.)

On Question, Bill read 2a, and committed to a Committee of the Whole House.
