7. Subject to any provision which may be made by the Legislature of any colony to which this Act for the time being applies, whereby appeals from any court in that colony are to be made to the Court of Appeal, nothing in this Act shall prejudice or affect the right of any person to appeal to His Majesty in Council.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR moved, after "made" ["to be made to the Court of Appeal"], to insert. "in the first instance." The noble and learned Lord said: This is a drafting Amendment due to the vigilance of my noble and learned friend Lord Dunedin, who detected the omission. These words ought to have been inserted in the original draft, and I am much indebted to my noble and learned friend for pointing out the discrepancy.
