HL Deb 08 May 1918 vol 29 c1009
THE EARL OF KINTORE

My Lords, the next Bill to which I ask your Lordships to give a Third Reading is the County of London Electric Supply Bill. The main provision of this Bill was to extend the time for the compulsory purchase of the generating station, which expires in August of this year, till three years after the termination of the war, but on the recommendation of the Board of Trade the period has been reduced to one year after the termination of the war, so that when a further application is made for an extension of time the whole situation may be reviewed.

Moved, That the Bill be now road 3a.—(The Earl of Kintore.)

On Question, Bill read 3a and passed, and sent to the Commons.
