HL Deb 09 April 1918 vol 29 c642

Order of the Day for the Third Reading read.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR (LORD FINLAY)

My Lords, on the Second Reading of this Bill I stated its object, which is to deal with cases of hardships that arise from the absence on work connected with the war of those serving as articled clerks. It is intended to provide that the time which is so occupied shall count for their articles. In these circumstances I hope that your Lordships will give a Third Reading to the Bill.

Moved, That the Bill be read 3a.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Bill read 3a and passed, and sent to the Commons.
