HL Deb 20 December 1915 vol 20 cc695-6
EARL ST. ALDWYN

I desire to ask the noble Marquess a Question of which I have given him private notice—namely, what will be the course of business during the next few days, when will the adjournment be moved for the Christmas recess and for what period, and should the Parliament Bill come up to your Lordships' House this week, when will the Second Reading of that measure be moved?

THE MARQUESS OF LANSDOWNE:

The answer to the noble Earl's Question is that the House will adjourn from Thursday next until January 4, and that the Parliament Bill will not be taken until after the adjournment.

EARL ST. ALDWYN

I hope that a day or two will be given after the House reassembles before the Second Reading of the Parliament Bill is taken.
