HL Deb 27 April 1915 vol 18 c883
THE EARL OF SELBORNE

May I remind the noble Marquess the Leader of the House that there are one or two small matters on which he kindly undertook to ascertain the facts and to give us information. One was as to the pay and rations of the Territorial troops in India, which question we discussed here some weeks ago. The other question was raised recently, and refers to German newspapers not being allowed into this country and the censorship of extracts from foreign newspapers.

THE MARQUESS OF CREWE

I am able at any time to give a reply upon the Indian matters. In fact, I have communicated with the noble Earl in those terms, but he has probably not received my letter. As regards the other matters, I can also reply in due course if noble Lords will once more place the Questions on the Paper. I am given to understand that there is no business on the Paper for tie remainder of this week, but of course if it is desired to raise these questions either to-morrow or on Thursday—

THE EARL OF SELBORNE

I have a Question down for Tuesday of next week, and could add these at the same time.

THE MARQUESS OF CREWE

If the noble Earl pleases.

Moved, That the House do adjourn, except for Judicial business, until Tuesday, May 4.—(The Marquess of Crewe.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

House adjourned at twenty-five minutes before Seven o'clock, to Thursday next, half-past Ten o'clock.
