HL Deb 02 April 1914 vol 15 c934
THE EARL OF CAMPERDOWN

My Lords, I desire to ask His Majesty's Government when the Annual Reports of the Scottish Board of Agriculture and Land Court will be presented to Parliament. The noble Lord who answers for the Scottish Office will, I dare say, remember that I addressed this Question to him last year on, I think, more than one occasion, and I believe it was asked in the other House. As the period when it was hoped the Reports would be laid on the Table has expired, or very nearly expired, I venture to hope that there will not be much delay on this occasion, because these Reports cover a period of very great activity on behalf of those two Departments, and it is very desirable that we should have them in our hands in sufficient time to be able to study them.

THE UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIES (LORD EMMOTT)

My Lords, I am informed that the Scottish Board of Agriculture hope to have their Report ready for presentation soon after the Easter recess, and that the Land Court are making every effort to ensure the presentation of their Report in the course of this month. If those hopes are realised the Reports will be presented earlier this year than they were last year.
