HL Deb 23 March 1910 vol 5 c512
THE MARQUESS OF LANSDOWNE

I do not know if, before we separate, the noble Earl is prepared to tell us what the ideas of His Majesty's Government are with regard to the Easter adjournment?

THE EARL OF CREWE

I understand that there is no business on the Paper for to-morrow except the Royal Commission. I should propose, therefore, that the House should adjourn until some day in Easter week, as to which day I am entirely in the hands of noble Lords opposite. We might meet either on the Wednesday or the Thursday, and then see what business is likely to be placed on the Paper. At present I understand there is nothing on the Paper with any day named for it in the course of next week. Therefore perhaps the House might meet either on Wednesday or Thursday, whichever best suits the convenience of noble Lords opposite.

THE MARQUESS OF LANSDOWNE

Either day would suit our convenience. Perhaps the noble Earl will say which day he prefers.

THE EARL OF CREWE

We will say Thursday.

House adjourned at twenty-five minutes past Five o'clock, till To-morrow, Ten o'clock.
