Your Lordships will see some Amendments on the Paper standing in my name in connection with this Bill, but they are obviously drafting Amendments, and only meant to make the Bill somewhat more symmetrical. I beg to move.

Amendments moved— Clause 1, page 1, line 17, leave out ("one a certified midwife") and insert one of whom shall be a certified midwife ") Clause 1, page 2, lines 13, 14, and 15, leave out ("members who then hold office as representatives "of the Incorporated Midwives Institute and the "Royal British Nurses Association") and insert ("member who then holds office as representative "of the Incorporated Midwives Institute").—(Earl Beauchamp.)
